Volcanes Araucanos: An extraordinaire ski tour adventure!
This is the trip of a lifetime. Ski the Patagonia Volcanos and explore unknowns destinations in "La Araucania".
This trip includes a Level 1 or Level 2 AIARE certification, as well as a second certificate for the new AAA Companion Rescue.
The trip guides are fluent in English, Spanish, and French. The guides have an ideal mix of IFMGA, AAA Certified Avalanche Instructors, and AIARE Course instructors.
All expenses related to lodging, meals, and ground transportation are covered.

Chago and Nico have been busy exploring NEW lines. You will not be ski touring on a beaten path. You will be pioneering the best and least known descent routes! And if that is not enough ... the timing of the trip has been carefully selected to guarantee the BEST snow!

This itinerary is flexible and it can be tailored to a group (minimum of 4). Locations can also vary to satisfy the group interest.
Day 1: Arrival to Santiago, Chile. Flight to Temuco. Arrival to Malalcahuello.
Day 2: Introduction to avalanche terrain. Ski the remote and mystical lines of the headwaters of the Cautin River.
Day 3: Summit and ski Volcan Lonquimay.
Day 4: Ski tour the enchanted and unknown Araucaria Tree Forest in Sierra Raices.
Day 5: The great one ... approach Volcan Llaima from the North, summit and ski Llaima's South Face. Big Hurrah!
Day 6: Enjoy climbing an active volcano and experience the red-hot lava of Volcan Villarrica crater.
Day 7: Weather day - An option of ski touring Volcan Lanin base.
Day 8: Prepare for the spectacular summit views of Volcan Mocho-Choshuenco caldera, a perfect amphitheater from where you will admire all of Patagonian Volcanoes surrounding El Mocho.
Day 9: Break day. Travel to rustic Antillanca region in the Lake district.
Day 10: Summit un unknown volcano - the friendly Volcan Casablanca with many ski descents variations and terrain options.
Day 11: Ski the scenic Volcan Osorno, at the southern edge of the Araucania. Arrival to Puerto Varas to end a magnificent adventure.
Day 12: Fly from Puerto Montt to Temuco. Fly from Temuco to Santiago. Depart to the USA that night.
Cancellation Policy: 60% of the course cost can be refunded up to 30 days prior to the course start. No refunds are provided for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the start of the course for which you are registered.
